Florida Quarter Horse Race Association, has a mission to guide people interested in racing quarter horses for different reasons such as business, activities, property and activates within the associations. With the Association beginning in 2005 the main goal of the Florida Quarter Horses Racing Association is to ensure the welfare of the American Quarter Horse, making sure they are treated with respect. Florida Quarter Horse Racing Association is committed to promoting Quarter Horse racing in Florida to benefit the community in a positive way.
Florida rules state that at least 5 horses must enter a race, 5 horses race for 110 yards. This is done 8 times repeated to complete 2 days of racing in an afternoon. There are also 2 performances per day for 20 days equaling 40 performances.
Anyone who entire the 2017 or 2018 Sunshine State Derby will receive a check by June 20th for the entire amount pain in. The entry form says that a 10% administrative fee can be subtracted from any refund.
