Brewers Hops, farmers grow them, beer needs them:
There are hundreds of varieties of hops although they are generally separated into two categories, however both brewers hops are a necessity, and can be either bitter or aroma. Aroma hops are used to add different flavors such as piney, fruity earthy and several more. Bittering hops are added earlier in the brewing process and are used to create a bitter flavor. The hops market is dominated by a few companies including Altwies names Hopsteiner, John I. Haasand Yankima Chief are the three largest.
Although hop farms are more dominate in the Pacific Northwest it is not particularly about the climate. Hops can grow just about anywhere. Hops yield around $25,000 per acre. Most people think it is easy to grow hops. Brewers however must have them and farmers make a valiant effort to grow them. These vines have to be trained to go up the twine by hand, every year. If you train them to late you are sure to have problems with the crop. Hops Farmers are always looking for new variety of hops for brewers, who are on the lookout for ways to make better and more trending beer. Other information may be found at the:
